Firstly, this is a research collection, not a comprehensive institutional archive. Secondly, the acquisition policy for this project came late, almost entirely after the bulk of the historical record for The Watermark had been physically stabilized and work had begun on expanding inwards toward documenting and resolving internal inconsistencies. Given that the record of holdings now, the logic behind this selectivity is as follows.
